Ciao Giuseppe
I have bought from you a 36V 350W 9.7A power supply, I have also 3 step motors Nema 23 Bipolar 1.8deg 1.26Nm (178.4oz.in) 2.8A 2.5V 57x57x56mm 4 Wires. what I need to chose now is the driver board and the stepper drivers. My choice wld be as stepper drive the Digital DM 542 T, and as driver board the 3 axis TB6560. My questions are:
- is all this hardware compatible? I red in the description that working voltage of driver board is DC12-DC30V and my power supply is 36V?
- how do I find out if my parallel port is a dB25 outlet?
- regarding sopftware I intend to use Linux CNC/EMC2, your hardware seems to be more mach3 oriented?
Hello Gabrio
Glad to receive your inquiry.
If your power supply is 36V, we don't recommend you to power TB6560 with it.
And if you have ordered the TB6560, you will no need drives for nema 23 motors as TB6560 can drive them.
If you want to choose DM542T as the motor drive, you may need a controller board such as ST-V2.

It is also controlled by DB25 and sorry to say I don't know how you can find out if your parallel port is a DB25.
And for the software, you can use Linux CNC/EMC2 or MACH3 to drive the board ST-V2.
Hope to be helpful.
